Images tell stories... same as words. Do they? Is it a wishful desire of the photographer? It's not always easy to tell a story with an image, but the challenge motivates me to continue on this journey.
I am colombian computer scientist that worked for more than 30 years in the Information and Technology industry. I live in Barcelona, where I decided to switch gears and pursue the postgraduate program in Documental photography at the Institut d'Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya (IEFC).
The following sections describe me as a photographer.
Projects
Some of my personal projects, a few during my photography studies at the IEFC, where I graduated in 2022, pursuing a dream of having formal education on my lifetime hobby.
My graduate degree project in Nature Photography happened here. It is a very special place in Catalonia with astonishing landscapes. It was definitely a challenge to document its very rich natural sites and biodiversity.
Portrays some of the traditional areas of Barcelona, just when the night has come. The soft city lights enhance colors and textures of the old architecture. It also reminds me the pandemic time, when we were just going out after a long confinement. The city looked uninhabited.
Museu Blau (the blue museum)
Museu Blau, also known as the Natural Science Museum of Barcelona, stands as a striking example of modern architecture and innovative design. It captures attention with its contemporary aesthetic, characterized by sharp lines and reflective glass facades.
Museu Blau was my subject for the final project of my Architecture Photography class at IEFC, because it offered a unique fusion of culture, science, and design.
Another nature photography story about the natural park Albufera des Grau in Menorca. Very unique rough volcanic coasts mixed with swamps and a lot of fresh water that favors fauna and flora.

As a photographer I have always been captivated by the beauty of mountains. You will find a selection of the photos I like most.
Landscapes where water is the main subject have always captivated my attention. It brings me peace and there is always a bit of mystery in the water.
A small collection of my favorite bird images in flight, or just posing for the camera.
