My graduate degree project in Nature Photography happened here, at the Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró.
It is a very special place in Catalonia with astonishing landscapes. With more than 41 thousand hectares, it represented a big challenge to document its very rich natural sites and biodiversity.
From the south you see the greener face. With less steep stone walls but equally magnificent. Climbing to the peeks you find incredible angles to see miles and miles of mountains and nature. Once to stand in the north face of the mountain rangechain it becomes very hard to look at anything but the huge vertical stone walls.
Of course, this natural space is full of life. Woods, flowers, birds, mammals, reptiles and insects. My work includes images of just a few of the typical species that call Cadí their home. Humans also make part of this ecosystem and the small and medium towns are full of history and culture.
This project was possible with the help of the Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró and Jordi Garcia-Petit, Director of the natural park who generously shared not only knowledge but invaluable time during many outings. I also thank Francesc Muntada who guided this work from beginning to end.
I hope this selection of images show the beauty of this, as I already stated, very special place.
