I started the Master of Science in Digital Arts and Creative Technologies at La Salle, Barcelona, in March 2026. It has been quite a journey for me. Not only because of the quality of the content in the different classes I have taken, but also because of the opportunity to meet and work with an incredibly talented group of professionals from all around the world.
I started this blog documenting my personal experiences throughout the different classes, assignments and projects. Additionally, I found a good way of documenting my personal artistic process to end with a possible Master Thesis, our final project that consolidates this incredible ride of one year of work.

The Journey to the Master's Final Project (Thesis)
These first posts relate three topics that begun giving shape to a possible project.
The first one is a recap on the practical aspects of my work. Why did I choose a particular set of technologies, materials, or devices. What possibilities or limitations are they introducing and how do I imagine the interaction with my audience.
The second is a reflection on the ethical, political, social, or relational consequences of my proposal. It's a brief analysis of the work, devices, infrastructures, and discourses that make it possible. It also brings attention to some implicit power relations.
In the third one I lay out a network of references that situates my practice in relation to authors and artists that at this moment have significant influence in my thought process.

A very diverse and committed team that worked smoothly and efficiently for over two months: Jie Zheng (China), Francisco Rodríguez (Mexico), Jaap Evenhuis (Netherlands), Juancho Hernández (Colombia) and me.
Break the Flow

Second Term Begins

I’m working with Lizzie and Jaap and there is great synergy among us. The theme of our project is about the impossibility of obtaining and appointment to process the Spanish foreign residency card (NIE).

About to start my Master

I am very excited about the start of the Master of Science: Digital Arts and Creative Technologies in La Salle University. It has been 38 years since I graduated from Computer Science. I never really stopped studying. Throughout more than 30 years employed in the technology sector I was able to keep up with the pace of business and technology topics.
